Answer: In Hebrew, the title "God
Almighty" is written as El Shaddai and probably means “God, the
All-powerful One” or “The Mighty One of Jacob” (Genesis 49:24; Psalm 132:2,5),
although there is a question among most Bible scholars as to its precise

says, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is
given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The

puzzling verse. Most people have no problem thinking of Jesus Christ as a child
and a son. Some also realize that when He returns to Earth, He will also be
King in control of all government. But many do not see how Jesus Christ could also
